Secular Franciscan Community and Apostolate
Founded in December 1981, the community of full-time vowed and professed, married and single members, live their lives in accordance to a common rule, centered around prayer, work, study and outreach services.
The community operates a 24/7 assistance program called San Damiano Family Support Services which offers emergency food assistance, family advocacy and referral, counseling, developmental disability services, medical equipment recycling program, loan of medical equipment supplies and elder care advocacy.
Members meet in community at the motherhouse every two months in Petersburgh.
We are canonically approved and accepted by our Bishop, Howard Hubbard.
